Michelle Williams to Replace Ashlee Simpson in ‘Chicago’

Former Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams is set to replace Ashlee Simpson in Chicago. Williams, 29, will take over the starring role of Roxie Hart on February 8. Her stint on the Broadway production ends on March 28.

This isn’t Williams’ first time playing Roxie Hart. She took over the role last year in London’s West End production.

Chicago has been on Broadway for 13 years and has won 6 Tony Awards.
